Before Care/ Waddler PM Teacher: Kristyn Bresett

Miss Kristyn has been with Bright Beginnings from the very start! She began as a volunteer and has being working hard as an assistant in many of the classrooms. This year she has taken over the before care lead, making sure our elementary students get to school on time each day. She has also taken over as the PM Waddler teacher doing fantastic art projects with our little ones

Group Teacher: Carolyn Ackerson

Miss Carolyn spent the first part of last year as the assistant in the toddler room working hard and proving herself an amazing teacher. After learning and demonstrating her knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices, she became the lead teacher in the Toddler room. She has since become the lead in our newly-opened Waddler room and has been creating hands-on sensory experiences that allow our little ones to learn and experience their environment first hand.
Director/Head Teacher: Linda Brownlee

Miss Linda started out at Bright Beginnings as the preschool teacher. She has over ten years of teaching experience from infants through eighth grade. In addition to teaching, she's also worked in educational software design, state standards databases, and has ghost written several educational books. She holds a bachelors degree in English and teacher certification from Centenary University and has a background in Montessori and play-based curricula.

Pre-K AM Teacher/ Infant PM: Shannon Powell

Miss Shannon has been with with Bright Beginnings for three years and works with our students in both the AM and PM shifts. She does a wonderful job making sure our students are prepared for kindergarten educationally, emotionally, and socially. She has unlimited patience and loves to enjoy learning with her students.

Preschool Teacher: Karen Munczinski

Miss Karen is a certified teacher that has been at the school for over three years. She teaches our Pre-K class in the afternoon. In addition to their ABC's and 123's, Miss Karen works on teaching our students manners, social skills, and what to expect in kindergarten. She enjoys teaching our students lots of songs as well!

Program Supervisor After Care: Patricia Fagerstrom 

Miss Pat has over 15 years experience teaching preschool in the West Milford area. She has worked with children from ages 2 1/2 to 13. Miss Pat's background is in Montessori and traditional pre-school. When she was teaching at the Montessori school she also assisted the building administrator with the day to day issues that went on at the school. She has an associates degree in Early Childhood Education from Harcum College in Pennsylvania. 

Preschool Assistant: Denise Calderone

Miss  Denise comes to use with a variety of experiences working with children. She shares her love of art as well as her experience working with children with special needs at the Phoenix Center to Bright Beginnings. Miss Denise is a wonderful assistant who shows care and compassion, yet helps each child foster independence. We are so happy to have Miss Denise with us here at Bright Beginnings!
